Thames and Kosmos are a market leader in both Science Kits and Board Games and are regularly nominated and win the most prestigious awards around the world.  The UK office is a family-run business partly owned by and distributing for the Stuttgart based company, Kosmos.  All of our products’ IP and most of our production is based in Germany, ensuring that our products are high quality and competitively priced.

Following an extremely successful growth period, we are now looking for an experienced and confident Board Game sales person.  Kosmos is a growing, global business, and the UK office is the thriving centre, intriguingly based in the sleepy, historic Kentish village of Cranbrook.

Key Requirements:

• An out-going board game enthusiast with at least 2 years’ experience working in an office in a self-motivated role.

• Applicants should be confident using Microsoft applications and ideally have experience using Quickbooks accounting system and/or ACT database, but training can be given.

• The applicant must be extremely well organised, be able to juggle many tasks at once and have an extremely high attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:

• Managing the stock records effectively and updating availability on our websites and some 3rd party websites.

• Customer liaison, including sales calls to existing and potential customers, and attending trade shows and updating ACT database.

• Dealing with the Board Game spare part requests, and ensuring that website orders are sent out, sometimes from the office by Parcelforce.

• Processing the board game orders using Quickbooks and liaising with the warehouse to ensure the orders are despatched in a timely manner.

No two days are the same, and as we are a small company, no job specs are hard and fast, and each member of staff is expected to be flexible and to help cover colleagues’ roles when they are not available.
